1. eForm works fine under PHP5.6. It has PHP 7 compatibility and it is recommended to run PHP7 because of improved performance.
2. The plugin doesn’t do any home calling to any servers.
The only way to know why this error is happening is to enable WordPress debugging mode and check the error log. Can your host do it? If not, kindly share FTP and WordPress credentials in a private reply and I will look into this.
